Line up your links with a lightweight android browser

We are all very much used to the popular browsers like Chrome, Opera on our android devices. But, there is a very little known light weight browser that works in the background giving uninterrupted browsing for the users. And that browser which is available in the Google Play store is called the Flynx browser.

It is built with a very minimalistic design. It is very helpful to keep our reading list organised. We can even save the content offline to read them at a later time if we ever run out of time. Flynx algorithms are designed in such a way that they automatically detect the links of various articles or websites, blogs from various apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Google+ and shows a small globe icon on the page.

Unlike the regular android browser, this one doesn’t disturb the current thing on the screen and will open the clicked link in the background.  Even the built-in browsers supported in some applications like Facebook and Twitter will open another page without leaving the app, but the currently viewed page of the app will not be there. Whereas this application allows you to do multitasking with your tiny android screen.

You can just click on the link and it will show a globe icon on the page which will open that link on the background while you continue to use the app that you are using. Click on that globe icon to read the article. And saving the article to read offline later is also damn easy. Just double tap the link and it will be saved. You can see all the saved articles in the app.

Enabling Google assistant on any android smartphone

Google assistant, one of the most popularly known assistants and the official one from Google is quite popular among the android users. We have earlier learned about the process of getting Google’s smart assistant installed on our smartphones.Read it Here, but recently Google has announced that it has been planning to launch its assistant to all the android smartphones that are running on Marshmallow or higher. So, if you are using a phone with an older android operating system, then go on to the above link and follow that process to get that assistant and if you have Marshmallow you will have to wait for the official update for your phone to arrive from Google. If you cannot then here is how you can get the Google assistant enabled on your device.

Here is the process:

This is the process of enabling the assistant through beta apps and it can be done by following the below steps.

• First of all, you have to get the beta versions of the Google Play services and the Google app. This can be done by going to Settings>Google>tap on the three dot icon and then tap on the Help and feedback option from the drop down box.
• Now in that page again, you have to tap on the three dot icon and then click on the option open in the Google Play store. It will then take you to the Google Play Services Play store page.
• Here just scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you can find the I’m In button there, just hit on it.
• Then click on join in the pop-up window.
• Now you have to wait for a few minutes to get the update to that application.
• When you see the update option there in the application’s page, just tap on it and wait for it to install the update.
• After it is done, you have to search for the Google app in the Playstore and then sign up for its beta version as well like you did for the Google Play Services. If you have any doubt regarding the using of beta version check out our earlier article on that Here
• After updating both the application with the beta versions, just go to Settings>Apps, then select Google here and then click on Storage>Manage Space>Clear All data.
• Change the language of the device to English US in the language input settings.
• Then come back and select Google Play Services and then tap on Manage Space and then hit Clear All data.
• After doing all that, open the Google app and set the things up as you are asked to.

Then you will see the same Google page, where you have to tap on Settings and then Google Assistant settings, click on it which will pop up the assistant’s window.

How to use the beta version of an android application

You may have heard this word beta one time or the other. Every android application’s update will be first released on its beta versionwhich is being tested by a set of people called beta testers and after testing it for some time, the update will be released to the application after making any required changes. If you also want to use the android beta app then here are the simple steps that you can follow

• Open the Google Playstore and search for the application that you want to use the beta
• Now go to the bottom of the screen and there you can find an option Become a beta tester, click on the I’m in button available there.
• It will show a pop-up screen with a message to join the beta program, click on join
• Then you will see the earlier become a beta tester option changed to beta sign up in progress
• It will take a few minutes after which you can find the updates if any
• Install the updates and test them before anyone can.

But you have to remember as it is a beta version, the application may not be stable and not all the android applications in Google Playstore have beta testing options.

Google Now on tap is an interesting and useful search tool from Google that has been launched with the Android Marshmallow. Even after the launch of Google assistant in the latest android version from Google android Nougat, many people are still stuck with using Google Now. There might be many reasons for that. Their phone may not support the Nougat upgrade or just they don’t want to, but there are a lot of things that one can do using the Google Now on tap. • For finding the meaning of a word in your smartphone stop doing the process of copying and pasting the word in Google search, but there is actually a simple thing that you can use to find the meaning of a word while you surf the web or read something. Just select the word for which you need to know the meaning for and then long press the home button, it will show the meaning automatically.
• Taking a screenshot may require you to hold a combination of keys if you use the same old mode to do that, but Google allows you to do that thing without the use of any keys, all you have to do is just keep hold the home button and then hit the share button which will be shown on the bottom of your screen and it will give you various options where you can share with your friends.
• There are actually quick shortcuts available on android for various tasks like setting an alarm, reminder, calendar entry and all. You can find these shortcuts by pressing and holding the home button for a while.
• Your smartphone actually has the ability to identify things and objects, all you have to do is just open the camera and face the camera towards the object or anything that you may want to know about and then hold and press the home button.

Personal Life

Pawan Kalyan married thrice. His first wife was Nandini whom he married in 1997 and got separated after 11 years. Then he started dating his co-star Renu Desai and married her in 2009. Before entering the Telugu film industry, Renu was a model. The couple have a son and daughter. However, this marriage too resulted in divorce. Pawan is now married to a Russian actor Anna Lezhneva whom he married in December 2013.

In the year 2012, Kalyan donated Rs 5 Lakh to aid Olympic sports shooter Rekha Chalichemala. Then in the year 2013, he reportedly donated Rs. 20 Lakh for the upliftment of those who suffered in the Uttarakhand flood. Never missed acting as much as writing: Pawan Kalyan (Interview)

Actor Pawan Kalyan, who has donned the hat of a writer for the second time in his career with Friday's Telugu release "Sardaar Gabbar Singh", says he finds the process of writing exciting and he misses it more than acting.

"I have always been fascinated by writers; and find their ability to create emotions on a white paper an amazing feat. I never had that ability and though I've tried, I fell short once. I find the whole process of visualising, writing and telling a story really exciting," Kalyan, who had earlier written and directed 2003 Telugu actioner "Johnny", told IANS in an exclusive interview.


He never aspired to be an actor, hence he didn't miss acting.

"I wanted to be a technician; a director to be precise. But my brother (Chiranjeevi) insisted that I act because it runs in the family. I know he only meant to guide me in the right direction and never forced me to be an actor, but I took his advice sincerely," said the 44-year old, who has hits such as "Kushi", "Jalsa", "Gabbar Singh" and "Attarintiki Daaredhi" to his credit.

Kalyan, unabashedly, declares that he considers acting very taxing.

"I don't enjoy getting ready for shoot, applying make-up and dancing to some tunes in exotic locations. Sometimes the expectations and pressure is so much, I find it so demanding, because I know my limitations as an actor," he said, adding that he finds solace in writing.

Is that why he was more active, calling the shots, on the sets of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh"?

"I was more involved on a creative level. When I wrote the story, I visualised the town Rattanpur as an integral part of the film; almost like a character. So in order to make everybody work in tandem with my vision, I had to be more active, make suggestions wherever required, and trust me it took a toll on me," he said.

In the film, Kalyan returns as the maverick, witty police officer Gabbar Singh, and he says it's a character very close to his heart.

It was both easy and challenging to portray the character, recalled Kalyan.

"Since I had written the character this time and I know my limitations as an actor, I knew where I could stretch myself in terms of performance, and so it all looked easy. However, it wasn't easy when it came to execution, and that's where the challenging part kicked in," he said.

Directed by K.S. Ravindra aka Bobby, the film also stars Sharad Kelkar, Kabir Duhan Singh and Kajal Aggarwal.

Kalyan didn't have any qualms working with Bobby, whose second film is "Sardaar Gabbar Singh".

"I respect and look up to people who are committed and have the tenacity to pursue. And in whoever I find these qualities, I end up working with them. In the case of Bobby, I hadn't watched his first film but I had heard about him and I wanted to meet him," he said.

It took Kalyan just two minutes to hand over the reins of the project to Bobby.

"Sometimes when I look at a person, it just takes a minute to decide that I won't work with him. When I met Bobby, I knew he was the guy. It was sheer instinct, I guess, but it had worked most of the time in my career," he added.

He believes he has no right to judge anyone.

"When someone like me with no prior acting training can succeed, how can I judge someone by his previous work? When a film fails, it's not just the director who should be blamed, because sometimes the circumstances which were supposed to aid him may not have fallen in place," he signed off.
